In a city where the hustle and bustle is prevalent, there are few spaces to go for relaxation and introspection. Designing this stair project on a Chicago infill site provided a space within the city that resembles a zen garden experience to take a break in. Views are interrupted within the project to redirect the visitor's attention to themselves and divides the site into separate spaces for an experiential progression through the project.
